Apple will release a white iPod touch late this year
Appleinsider reports that apple will publish a white iPod touch late this year with some new features. Concord Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said recent industry checks point to Apple unveiling a white iPod Touch in August or September, which is typically when the company shows off its new portable music players. However, the new device will have few if any feature changes from the current iPod Touch, Kuo said.
Apple's iPod Touch is currently available in black. The device comes with a Retina display, HD video recording, and FaceTime video chatting. Apple sells 8GB, 32GB, and 64GB models for $229, $299, and $399.
Apple launching a white version of the iPod Touch with little to no improvement isn't unprecedented. Earlier this year, after a long wait, Apple finally launched the white iPhone 4, which delivered the same functionality as the black version. That device currently retails for $199 and $299 for 16GB and 32GB versions, respectively.
Exactly why Apple apparently won't update its flagship iPod this year is unknown. However, Kuo told AppleInsider that it could have something to do with Apple's desire to focus its mobile efforts on the iPhone and iPad.
It might not be a bad idea. Apple's iPod business has been on the decline as of late as the company's other mobile products soar. During Apple's fiscal third quarter, the company sold 7.54 million iPod units, representing a 20 percent decline year over year, it announced earlier this week. Apple sold 20.34 million iPhones and 9.25 million iPads to tally year-over-year gains of 142 percent and 183 percent, respectively.
During the fiscal third quarter, Apple's iPod revenue was just 4.6 percent of its total sales. During the same period last year, the iPod's revenue share stood at nearly 10 percent.
Even so, there's no telling what Apple might have planned. The company is notoriously secretive, and any rumor must be taken with a grain of salt.
Apple declined to comment on whether it will launch a new iPod later this year.

Each title has their chapters, which work with a program. The Program is composed of cells. A number of programs make a Program Chain (PGC). And when a Chapter works with its program, the number of PGC and program were determined at the same time.
A DVD movie disc contains a VIDEO_TS file, where the file related to the movie was found. You can find 3 types of file in VIDEO_TS file, including *.IFO(index file of a DVD), *.BUP(DVD index backup file) and *.VOB(DVD content file).
Now we know what is in the DVD disc, but how to add a protection on it? There are many ways to add protections on a DVD. Content Scramble System(CSS) and ArccOS are two ways widely used by DVD movie publishers.
Content Scramble System(CSS) adds protection in *.VOB file and when playing the DVD movie, a key is needed for decrypting *.VOB file. The key used to decrypt the *.VOB file is DVD disc. So people can not copy the DVD movie to another blank DVD disc by using physical file copy. Unfortunately, in 1999, Jon Lech Johansen and other two guys found a way to decode the CSS. As a result of that now CSS is not a big deal if you want to copy a DVD movie using CSS protection.
Nowadays, ArccOS is more and more popular than CSS. It has the following features:
A. Bad Sector
One of the features of ArccOS is that bad sector was set in the DVD disc. When your player is reading the bad sector, the player will crash right away. To those players which follow the rule of DVD, a command in the DVD disc will tell the player how to avoid bad sector and play the DVD movie correctly.
B. Titles
DVD in this kind of protection has as many as 99 titles. Movie content is divided and stored in each title disorderly. To those players which follow the rule of DVD, a command in the DVD disc will tell the player how to play the DVD movie as the movie actually goes.

How to Rip DVD(windows/mac), Copy DVD, Convert Video?
Every year, my family will have a big party and all the members will get together. We have a very nice time on each year's party. And from the year 2000, I record the party and share with my family. I enjoy the work very much, while when I share the video or the DVD, it is really a big problem. But now I can solve it with only a few clicks.
So I write this article to show you guys how to deal with dvd and video stuff.
Part 1: How to Rip DVD on Windows and Mac
First Let me explain what is rip DVD. When I talk about “Rip DVD”, it means I will convert DVD video/movie to video format and you can play the video/movie without the disc. Of course, the original DVD will not be hurt.
For Windows users:
You need a DVD Ripper.
Step 1: Load your DVD to it
Step 2: Choose output profile

Gphone vs iPhone, which is better?
As iPhone is the most talked about smart phone on the planet and it has won millions of hearts of users by his multi-touch screen and other powerful/beautiful design. Of course, iPhone has brought so much money for Apple.
On 23rd, Sep 2008 Google released G1 and claimed that they will have a share of the big market of smart phone.
So, which is better about iPhone and G1? That maybe asked by many people who want to buy a new phone. Here I will give some of opinion about G1 and iPhone.
I will compare these two phones in three aspects, hardware, software, and their performance as a media player.
1. The price and storage memory
First, the price and storage memory is what I concern most, for iPhone $199 8GB, $299 16GB, for G1 $179 1GB. When you see this you will say G1 is $20 lower than iPhone but G1 is only 1GB and you will pay another $40 for an 8GB SD Card. So I think iPhone win in this round.
2. Appearance
iPhone is 133 grams/4.7 ounces and G1 is 158 grams/5.57 ounces. G1 is taller while iPhone is thinner (G1: 117.7*55.7*17.1, iPhone: 115.5*62.1*12.3).
3. Mobile Network
For mobile Network, they both have Quad Band GSM/EDGE UMTS, but G1 uses T-Mobile-only US 3G and iPhone uses AT&T-only US 3G.
4. Touch screen and input
About touch screen display, iPhone has Multi-touch 3.5 480*320 163 ppi, but G1 does not support mulit-touch. And in input aspect, G1 uses keyboard, Trackball, 6 buttons and touch screen, while iPhone has home button and multi touch screen.
5. Expansion
In expansion ports, G1 uses SD, ExtUSB(USB+audio) but iPhone has headphone, Dock connector (USB+ audio, video, remote). They have the same wireless WiFi 820.11b/g Limited Bluetooth 2.0 EDR.
6. Others
About hardware, the two phones perform almost the same and the only big difference is the iPhone uses multi-touch screen and G1’s camera is better than iPhone. And iPhone has a 1400Ah battery with 300 hours standby time but G1 only has a 1150Ah battery with 5 hours talk time and 130 standby.
iPhone and G1 are both using Webkit as their browser engine. In media playback aspect, iPhone supports music, audiobook, video, streaming, downloads and rental, while for G1, only music playback. G1 has Android Market as its third party software store while iPhone has iPhone app store. G1’s platform is Modified Java development and iPhone uses Cocoa Touch.
Part 3: Their performance as media player.G1 supports H.264, 3GPP, MPEG4, Codec 3GP video and MP3、AAC、AAC+、WMA、MPEG4、WAV、MIDI、REAL、AUDIO、OGG audio formats.
iPhone supports AAC，Protected AAC，MP3，MP3 VBR，Audible (formats 1, 2, 3), Apple Lossless, AIFF, WAV audio formats and H.264 (up to 1.5Mbps), MPEG-4 (up to 2.5Mbps) 640*480, 30fps, AAC-LC (up to 160 Kbps), 48kHz dimensional sound .m4v, .mp4 and .mov format.
Amazon MP3 Store allows you to download 6 million songs without the DRM protection, 89 cents per song. It is similar with the Apple iPhone, you need to pay for the video and audio sources on the Apple store. But how to get free sources for your G1.
For iPhone and G1 you can buy songs and videos from store, which is really expensive, and you can also make songs and videos for your iPhone and G1 by yourself, you just need to convert your DVDs and videos to mp4 format and then you can put them easily to your iPhone and G1.

How to Rip DVD to Divx
Step by step guide to rip DVD to DivX

This guide shows you how to rip DVD to MP4, AVI, MP3, WMV, WMA, FLV, MKV, MPG, RM, 3GP, and other video/audio formats supported by popular mp4 and mp3 players by using Best DVD Ripper.
